Day 18

Organ or Body Donation

Welcome to Day 18! 

Today you will compile Info on any Organ or Body Donation Wishes and Plans you have.

If you have the Yup I’m Dead…Now What? Book, you can find it in Chapter 21.

In this Chapter, you will document if you have chosen to donate your body, organs or tissues.

We aren’t here to tell you what is right or wrong. That’s up to you. If you wish to learn more about Organ Donation visit Organdonor.gov

For more information about body donation, especially if there is not a medical school nearby, contact an organization that coordinates donor placement for research and education. Here are a couple to get you started: 

If you don’t want to donate. If you check “No” here, you’re done with this section and can go on to the next Chapter. 

If you do wish to be a donor, indicate whether you want to donate your your whole body, any needed organs or tissues, or specific organs or tissues only. In the next section, you will need to indicate details about any arrangements you have made and where the documents are located.

Again, this is your decision. Just be sure to document properly and completely.
